The current heated American female Rapper, Isis Naija Gaston, popularly known as Ice Spice, was born on 1st January 2000 in The Bronx, New York City, United States, where she grew up and attained her education. As of 2024, she is 24 years old.

Her first music breakthrough came in late 2022 after her hit song ‘Munch (Feeling U)’ went viral, earning her a convincing audience; this transpired mainly on TikTok.

After clinching a record-breaking contract with 10K Projects in a joint venture with Capitol Records, she released a follow-up hit singles, Bikini Bottom and In Ha Mood, that portrayed an outstanding promotion for her debut extended play EP titled ‘Like…?’

It stretched to an even much better phase where she was able to bag her first Billboard Hot 100 entry with one of the tracklists of the Extended play EP, dubbed ‘Gangster Boo’ and featuring Lil Tjay. Another tracklist emphasized the hit single ‘Princess Diana’ featuring Nicki Minaj, including the hit single “Deli” featured on its deluxe edition.

Other dominance unlocked another mainstream success accomplished by her collaborative project singles ‘Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2’ featuring PinkPantheress, “Karma” featuring Taylor Swift, and “Barbie World” featuring Nicki Minaj and Aqua. All these projects, without doubt, attained spots within the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first Female Rapper to achieve such a peak in the history of Hip Hop.

Her forthcoming debut album, Y2K, has already gathered convincing credits across the globe, bidding on her already-announced 2024 single dubbed ‘single, ‘Think U the Shit (Fart).’

Since her debut in 2023, Ice Spice has gained massive comments from top platforms, including Billboard, that described her as the ‘rap’s new princess’ Also, She was honored with the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist and  People’s Choice Award where she was crowned ‘New Artist of the Year. Early Life

Unlike many prominent rappers, Ice Spice grew up mostly with her grandparents and cousins. Her early life education was portrayed in the Bronx and in a Catholic Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers, where she graduated with a high fashion in 2018.

Quick enough, the youngster started loving hip-hop in his childhood at seven. She was all bound with incredible hit songs from female Rap gems like Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj.

Swerving back to her roots, Isis was the eldest of five siblings, growing up with her mixed heritage as her father was bound to African-American origin. Her father, Joseph Gaston, also contributed to the biological boost of her musical reputation and talent, following how he was once an underground Rapper before welcoming Ice Spice. Her mother, Charina Almanzar, in the other view,  is Dominican. She found vocation at a car dealership where she worked and provided for her children even though she welcomed Ice Spice at 17. Her marital status with her husband also crashed while she nursed a 2-year-old Ice Spice.

Going on with her inspiration and what really drove her so enormously in her childhood, Ice Spice wrote poems and freestyle Rap from elementary school to high school.  Bidding her experience, in an interview, the heavily endowed Rapper disclosed to Billiboard that growing up, she listened to the likes of Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Wu-Tang Clan, which was sparked by her father’s rap reputation.

According to her, She would type out lyrics in the Notes application of her iPhone and further listen to hip-hop instrumentals while rapping out loud to them. Ice Spice also detailed in the interview that when she saw Nicki Minaj, she was so fascinated, adding that Nicki was the first female Rapper she had seen, and that infused her passion for the toll of what she craved to become.

Passing through college, Ice Spice attended the State University of New York at Purchase, where she served as a defensive specialist on the school’s volleyball team and studied communications. Her records featured two kills and nine digs in 7 matches in the 2018 season. However, despite the view of this, Ice Spice dropped out of SUNY Purchase with the claim that she didn’t believe the school was the right fit for her, and also attributing dropping out of college to the “strenuous commute.” She went on to work as a cashier at Wendy’s and The Gap, living to her civil rights.

As highlighted above, Ice Spice officially began her musical career in 2021 after linking up with the prominent music producer RiotUSA.

RiotUSA produced Ice Spice’s debut song, ‘Bully Freestyle,’ which emerged as a freestyle in March 2021 after her ‘Buss it’ dance challenge went viral on Twitter, currently identified as X.  She also released a follow-up song titled “Name of Love” which gained streams on SoundCloud, making her famous on Instagram.

In 2021, Ice Spiced released ‘Munch it (Feeling U?)’ accompanied by a video distributed by WorldStarHipHop; it also served as the lead single from her debut EP, titled ‘Like..?’. She headed on to attain massive streaming numbers, which earned her instant global recognition. Following the view of her fast growth, Drake found leisure in the song, deploying support to the extent that he played the song on his Sirius XM radio station, Sound.

It gained further grand, introducing Ice Spice to the world and debuting her in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Later, in September 2022, Ice Spice infused her dominance by appearing as a featured artist on the song dubbed ‘One Time’ by B-Lovee, allowing her to sign a whopping record label deal with 10K Projects and Capitol Records.

On 28th October, she released another hit song, ‘Bikini Bottom,’ that served as a pivotal promotion to the release of her debut EP, identified as ‘Like…?’.  The EP contained hit songs like ‘Munch (Feelin’ U),’ ‘Bikini Bottom,’ and ‘In Ha Mood.’

In February 2023, Ice Spice enticed her collaboration reputation after bonding with Lil Tjay on a song dubbed ‘Gangsta Boo.’ As anticipated, the song gained numbers and became the Rapper’s first song to chart at 82 on the Billboard Hot 100. Being pumped by the result, she collaborated with the singer PinkPantheress on the song, ‘Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2’, Where she featured as a peak Rapper.  A substantial music video was released immediately as a follow-up, marking her journey to greatness. The song was further picked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning Ice Spice her highest charting entrance.

She also linked up with Nicki Minaj and released the hit song ‘Princess Diana’ soaring to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning her the second top 10 charting songs of her career on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The American Rapper, again, collaborated with Taylor Swift on her song remix titled ‘Karma.’ This influence was followed by the release of the song’s music video. Aligning to the youngster’s reputation, the song ‘Karma’ remix picked the 2nd spot on the Billboard Hot 100, earning her yet another song to debut at the Billboard Hot 100 top in 2023.  She extended her dominance with yet another collaboration with Nicki Minaj.  They collaborated to dish out a hit song dubbed ‘Barbie World’ released on June 2023, which also debuted at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

After what has reformed to be an incredible year, Ice Spice wrapped it up with the release of her EP ‘Like…?’ Deluxe version. It contained five incredible hit songs that attained her massive streaming numbers. She further announced her first studio album ‘Y2K!’ scheduled to be released in 2024, which it’s lead single, ‘Think the shit (Fart),’ which was released in January 2024.

According to Wikipedia, On May 13, 2024, MTA New York City Transit released Ice Spice-themed MetroCards. These MetroCards are available at Fordham Road on the B, D, and four lines, 34 St-Penn Station on the A, C, and E lines, and Times Square-42 Street stations.

Growing up as a kid, Ice Spice listened to Sheff G, Pop Smoke, Lil’ Kim, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Foxy Brown, Remy Ma, Erykah Badu, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Lauryn Hill.

Ice Spice also enlisted Coldplay and attributed his hit song ‘Yellow’ as one of his songs that inspired her into music. She described that she loved his accent and the fact that he was British. She also mentioned the 1975 song ‘Sex’ as one of the chilling European songs she played as a kid that inspired her to venture into music.

There is not much known about Ice Spice’s Personal Life, but she has, on several occasions, revealed that she is bisexual. Ice Spice has also disclosed her love for pole dancing and fashion, which she has proven repeatedly via her social media platforms.

Speaking about Pole Dancing, Ice Spice disclosed that she has been fascinated by pole dancing lately as she further disclosed that when it’s time to have fun, she prefers home. She also disclosed that she installed a stripper pole in her luxurious apartment, which she often uses during her leisure time. Adding to her words, she disclosed that her body is engulfed with bruises because of her sudden obsession with pole dancing.
