There have been speculations online that veteran actor, Olu Jacobs have passed away early Sunday, after a prolonged battle with dementia.
Contrary to the rumour, founder of Genevieve Magazine, Betty Irabor, has stepped out to debunk the mischievous news, as she insists the Nollywood veteran, Olu Jacobs is well and alive.
Irabor tweeted: “Olu Jacobs is well and alive. Please ignore all rumours of his passing.”
His wife who is also a veteran actress, Joke Silva on Sunday told TheNEWS and PMNEWS that “her husband is alive and doing just fine”.
Additionally, Jacobs’ family has released a video to prove that the actor is alive.
Recall that similar reports surfaced on August 2022, announcing the thespians death, the rumour peddled around until Joke Silva, wife of Olu Jacobs stepped out to clear the air.
She wrote, “Good day everyone, trust all is going well. The Jacobs Clan would love to inform you that Papa J (Olu Jacobs MFR), is alive and well; enjoying himself as always in the comfort of his home and loved ones.”
last year, Joke Silva, said Jacob’s ailment had brought significant changes in her man.
She said: “It hasn’t been easy. There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality and it is like the person I married, 80 per cent of the time is no longer there.”
