After hijacking the deal from West Ham, Manchester United is in advanced talks to sign Noussair Mazraoui from FC Bayern Munich, a deal that is expected to be about €15.5m (£12.7m) plus €4m in add-ons.

According to reports on Friday, the full-back who plays for the Moroccan national team will join the Manchester Side after discussions between his present club, FC Bayern Munich and West Ham broke down on Thursday night.

It has been revealed that after the departure of the academy graduate Ben Johnson to Ipswich Town, the London side is now prioritising the signing of a new right-back. The club has since signed Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham.

In the last week, Manchester United had expressed a desire to offload the Wan-Bissaka, the Congolese, a desire that has not led to the transfer of the right back away from the Manchester side.

In the past weeks, West Ham had enquired about the price for the transfer of Wan-Bissaka as the position has been a pole desire for them to strengthen the team after missing out on European football in the 2023/2024 season.

It was further revealed that West Ham had failed to agree on personal terms with the player who has been out of favour for the new head coach of FC Bayern Munich, Vincent Kompany.

Manchester United has since welcomed the arrival of young French defender Leny Yoro and Dutch international striker Joshua Zirkzee after spending lavishly on the young star defender with consistent rumours that the defender is willing to go to Real Madrid.

Manchester United is hoping to fund the transfer of the defender with proceeds from the sale of Wan-Bissaka after the club coach admitted that the club will be hoping to fund more transfers with the sale of other players.

Manchester United is currently in the |United States for their preseason tour; players on the tour squad include Andre Onana, Jonny Evans, Harry Maguire, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.

Other players in the squared include Christian Eriksen, Tom Heaton, Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay.
