Police arrest six for attempt murder in Ogun

The police in Ogun State have announced the arrest of six persons in the state on acts bordering on attacks on a fellow man and attempted murder in the Owode-Egba area of the state.

It was learnt that the victim was attacked by the suspects and got injured on September 9. He was initially taken to the house of Baale. It was further reported that members of the Mosadomi community village dehumanised the man.

While speaking on the incident, the wife of the victim, Oyegoke Oluwakemi, explained that the sye was called by someone on the phone on the 9th of September and was informed of the attack that was melted on the husband.

They had taken the case to police in the state for investigation, and it was noted that the suspect, after an initial investigation, was arrested. The identity of the suspects were disclosed as Oludele Abayomi, 34; Bello Lukman, 42; Seun Adebanjo, 50; Egbodo Buniface, 38; Ogunmefun Omolaja, 52 and Oyinwola Akeem, 45, were all arrested after his wife, Oyekemi Oyewale. The incident was reported by the wife on September 13th.

The wife noted that the attack led to the missing of the belongings of the suspect. The items include a boxer Bajaji motorcycle, a Samsung phone, jewellery and a wristwatch.
Speaking on the attack, the spokesperson of the Tate police command, Omolola Odutola, explained that the the police have taken them into custody and have begun investigations into the incident. She noted that the suspects have passed through a series of questions relating to their involvement in the incident.

She also noted that the victim had been taken to the hospital where he is receiving treatment, and she noted that he was taken to the Healing Gate Hospital. The victim’s condition has been said to be critical, as he has not been able to speak at the moment.

She further disclosed that the police had visited the crime scene and taken photographs for documentation.

The residents of Mosadami village have expressed shock over the incident. They further expressed concerns about the safety of their community and the potential for further violence. Local leaders have called for peace and urged residents to cooperate with the police investigation.
