Nicole Kidman, 57, has disclosed that she had decided to take a break from the production of the upcoming erotic drama Babygirl after the experience she had filming the project in the past. She explained that her overwhelming experience in filming the project resulted in the pause of the project. It was disclosed that Harris Dickinson, 28, and Antonio Banderas, 64, Kidman portrays Romy, one of the power CEOs who has disclosed to have embarked on a risky affair with a young intern.
While speaking in an interview, the actress noted that the filming process of the project has been one filled with so much time of sharing and trust, and it has also been frustrating. It was explained that there was a time when the project got to a level where the cry to stop orgasm arose. She noted that she had told the producers that she didn’t want to orgasm anymore. She emphasized the emotional toll of performing such intimate scenes, which were made easier under the direction of Halina Reijn, a female director.
Inspired by classic thrillers like Basic Instinct, Babygirl premieres on Christmas Day in the US and January 10 in the UK. Kidman noted her attraction to the project stemmed from its exploration of themes she hadn’t tackled in her career before, highlighting her ongoing quest as an actor to explore new territory.
The project, which is under production, has generated a high level of critical acclaim, with Kidman winning Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival. It was disclosed that Nicole Kidman has been nominated to be honoured with the esteemed Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at their annual Women in Entertainment breakfast gala on December 4 in Los Angeles,
The event, which is an invite-only is set to bring at least 600 industry leaders and VIPs to celebrate the most powerful women in entertainment, which will coincide with the the release of THR’s Women in Entertainment issue.

The award was established in honour of Sherry Lansing, who was the first woman to head a Hollywood studio, the award has been used to recognizes trailblazers and philanthropists in entertainment and media.

Speaking on the award Kidman noted that receiving this award in Sherry Lansing’s name is an extraordinary honor she offered tributes to all the female filmmakers and creators she had worked and collaborated with in the past she also rendered commendation to the female powerhouses she had worked with in her who career. She also noted that her mother was the biggest woman who had inspired her noting that she was her guiding light.
