After the Grammys’ nominations were announced on Friday, Beyoncé became the most nominated artist in the event’s history.
The music icon, a constant nominee for the event, released her debut country album earlier in the year. She received 11 nominations for this year’s event, which brings her total nominations to 99.
This year’s nominations have been characterized by spectacular female nominees. They are behind some special sounds that the Recording Academy recognised. Some of the spectacular nominees include Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan. The nominees were announced during a live stream on Friday.
Carpenter and Roan got nominations in the Best New Artist category. Each of them has had an outstanding breakthrough in their work this year. They have reached different billboard charts at the beginning of the year with exceptional works.
Taylor Swift, who currently holds the record for the best Ablum of the Year category, has received nominations for the Tortured Poets Department.
British singer Charli XCX’s Brat inspired some of the year’s biggest trends and was celebrated in several categories, including album of the year.
Kendrick Lamar received nominations in the rap genre for his outstanding song Not Like Us, the song was nominated for the record of the year and song of the year categories.
The voting were concluded in the middle of October by the members of the Acedemy which has been used to dertmine the persons to be nominated for the awards.
