It has been confirmed that a strike by the Israeli forces, which happened in Labanon on Sunday in the Northern Gaza Strip, had claimed several lives. The Israeli forces have been waging war in the area for months as aid organizations have cried that the humanitarian crisis in the area has continued to grow worse as the enclave has been taken over with attacks.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry confirmed that the strike on Sunday had claimed a total of 23 persons in the village of Aalmat, which is located in the northern part of Beirut, a distance from southern and eastern Lebanon, where the dominant of the militant Hezbollah groups has been seen in the past weeks. The health ministry also confirmed that the attack, which was carried out by the Israeli forces, had left six other persons wounded. The Israeli government did not make any comment regarding the attack.
According to the director of a nearby hospital that received the bodies, it was noted that the attack on Northern Gaza had led to the destruction of the urban refugee camp of Jabaliya, which also claimed the lives of 17 persons while other buildings sheltering the people were destroyed.
Also speaking on the attack, Dr Fadel Naim, director of the Al-Ahly Hospital in Gaza City, disclosed that the attack had claimed the lives of nine women, with the number of dead persons expected to go up as the authorities have begun rescue efforts in the area.
According to the Israeli forces, it has been disclosed that the attacks were targeted at the militants who were operating in Jabaliya. However, they failed to provide reasonable evidence with the details of the attacks that are still under review by the authorities. Another attack which
Another attack which was carried out by the forces on Sunday in Gaza City had also claimed the life of Wael al-Khour, a minister in the Hamas-run government, as well as his wife and three children; the Civil Defense confirmed the attack and death of the victims and Israeli forces who operates under the government.
It has been confirmed that the Israeli forces have surrounded and largely separated Jabaliya and the nearby towns of Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun for the past month, allowing in only a trickle of humanitarian aid. Hundreds of people have been killed since the offensive began on Oct. 6, and tens of thousands of people have fled to nearby Gaza City.
Some experts who spoke on the incident have confirmed that the attacks that have happened in the city have raised a high level of possibility that there will be famine in the city. The Biden administration’s request has given more concern over the crisis in the area. The request has asked Israel to allow more humanitarian assistance in Gaza or face possible restrictions on U.S. military funding.
The northern third of Gaza, including Gaza City, was the first target of Israel’s land invasion and has suffered the heaviest ruin of the 13-month-old war, which was initiated by Hamas’ attack on southern Israel. As in other areas of Gaza, Israel has sent forces back in after reiterated operations, saying Hamas has regrouped.
The military says it only targets militants, whom it accuses of hiding among civilians in homes and shelters. Israeli strikes often kill women and children.
In a video made public by Israel on Sunday, it has claimed that Hamas have been abusing the persons that the government has detained. The video, published without a sound, was dated to have been published from 2018 to 2020; the video showed some detainees with a hood covering their heads with chains restricted to a particular position. In some of the videos, men were seen beating the victims.
The military confirmed that the video was recovered from the source when it conducted its operation in Gaza, but efforts to verify the failed.
Before the release of the video, human rights groups raised concerns over the abuses that have been carried out on detainees by Hamas in Gaza and the eastern-backed Palestinian Authority in the occupied West Bank. Israel has been accused of similar abuses, especially since the start of the war. Israeli prison authorities say they follow relevant laws and investigate any allegations of misbehaviour.
It was disclosed that Hezbollah began firing rockets, drones and missiles into Israel after war broke out in Gaza in solidarity with the Palestinians and its fellow Iran-backed militant group Hamas.
Israel retaliated, and a series of escalations over several months led to an all-out war in September when Israel carried out a wave of heavy strikes and killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, as well as most of his top commanders.
Since then, Israel has struck areas deeper and deeper inside Lebanon, while Hezbollah has expanded its rocket fire from northern to central Israel. The fighting has killed over 3,000 people in Lebanon, according to the Health Ministry, and more than 70 people in Israel.
In a video circulated on Sunday, which has been depicted as the aftermath of the Sunday attack in Aalmat, some 25 miles north of Beirut, the president ts was seen trying to take little children out of the rubbles that were caused by the attack. The house was also destroyed, and the cars were also seen to have been damaged by the incident.
The war in Gaza began when Hamas-led militants blew holes in the border fence and stormed into southern Israel on October 7, 2023. They destroyed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapped around 250 persons. Some 100 captives are still inside Gaza, about a third of whom are thought to be dead.
Some records have shown the attacks by Israel have claimed the lives of over 43,000 Palestinians; according to the health authorities, they have failed to distinguish if the persons killed were civilians or members of the military; they have noted that the persons killed were largely women and children.
The operations carried out by the Israeli force have left a major part of Gaza in ruins, while it has been discovered that about 90% of the population has been left displaced, which has amounted to a total of 2.3 million people. Most displaced people have been left to stay in tents around the cities, which has also led to a humanitarian crisis; the displaced persons have also lost hope that they will be returning home soon or rebuilding their homes.
Cease-fire talks negotiated by the United States, Qatar and Egypt have continually slowed since the start of the year, as have parallel efforts by the U.S. and others to halt the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.
Qatar, which has served as a critical mediator with Hamas, said over the weekend that it had left its efforts and would only resume them when the parties show their willingness and seriousness to end the brutal war and the ongoing suffering of civilians.
