A recent footage making the rounds on various platforms have disclosed the intensity of the damage caused by the United States airstrike carried out on 25 December, 2025 in Sokoto state against the Islamic terrorists.

Following several doubts regarding the US military airstrike in Sokoto, which many have claimed did not cause any damage on the terrorist’s camps as no casualty or damage reports have been officially made available in the aftermath of the joint military operation.

A footage of the operation which emerged on Saturday and yet to be declassified by the military, showed three separate airstrikes which hit directly on the terrorist’s hideouts. The footage also shows terrorists movement as they try to flee after the initial bombardment but were engaged while their vehicles were destroyed.

Meanwhile, the exact number of terrorists neutralized during the operation is yet to be ascertained, but the footage suggests that quite a number of them met their waterloo. However, military sources said a comprehensive battle damage assessment is still ongoing to determine the full impact of the strikes.

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj Gen Michael Onoja, in earlier confirmation disclosed that the full scale impact assessment was ongoing and assured that details would be made public once concluded. He was asked if he is certain that the terrorists were present at the locations struck, Onoja said intelligence reports had confirmed their presence in the area prior to the operation.
