“The energy around HIPHOP right now feels right.. I know most rappers are still not the most popular yet.. but right now is the time for us to focus on the craft.. just keep getting better.. this year we did so well as a genre and next year we grow!!!!”

His words:
“They are all winning as well.. thanks for the reminder! Erigga Baddo Reminisce Oladips and all the amazing MCs who won this year.. I was referring to all of us..”
“I would point out to you that you used “the rest” just the same way I used etc.. why you no mention everyone?”

Dandizzy
Another street Rapper, Dandizzy also shared his view and just like Erigga he outlined that the rap genre’s poor influence in Nigeria is embodied in the lack of support amongst Rappers in the field.
He shunned his colleagues who are mocking Wizkid and urged them to focus on establishing the genre to the highest peak.
In his words, he tweeted:
“I just thought about things now and Here are my thoughts, nobody should come and be forming defender of rap cos a lot of you don’t rate rappers and it’s a fact, let rappers just keep pushing and praying that one day we’d get it right so that we can get afrobeats type of funding.”
