Some unknown gunmen have killed the Concerned Youth Development Initiative, Chris Terfa-Ikpu, Executive Director of a non-governmental organisation, at his office in Makurdi Benue State.
The victim, Terfa-Ikpu, was allegedly traced to his workplace in the state capital on Friday, where he was killed.
The victim, who has been a humanitarian for the past years, according to some information, has been out of the state for a long time but returned and visited his office, where unknown gunmen traced him and murdered him.
Before killing the humanitarian, the gunmen who arrived at the office prepared to kill the security man on duty before forcing their way into the office of the Executive director who was murdered.
A source said, at his office, according to the Punch, that when the gunmen arrived at the office, they first asked for the location of the office of the executive director, and a worker in the office led them there.
Stanley Chimin, another individual who spoke about the incident, explained that the victim had been away for a long time but returned to the unfortunate incident, which took place on Friday.
Before he was confirmed dead, a family member had rushed the victim to the hospital, where he was certified dead after examination.
One of the sources, who claimed to be close to the deceased and identified himself as Stanley Chimin, told journalists in Makurdi on Saturday that the victim had been away from the state for a while.
