As fans anticipate Omah Lay’s incoming album, he has revealed a shock that has left his fans curious.
During his recent interview, the Nigerian singer revealed that his trust struck him after his close friend in the industry betrayed him.
He disclosed that a close colleague in the Nigerian music firm went on to release an album scrapped from his sound and idea.
He added that he wanted to collaborate with the artist while sharing his idea with him; five months later, the singer released an album made of the same idea and sound he shared.
According to him, this made him abandon his whole motive and remake his album.
He finalised that despite this view, his album would be the best.
His words:
“My song ‘Holy Ghost’ is a new sound. I was going to make the whole album with the new sound but along the line, I changed my mind.”
“I shared an idea with a certain artist and the artist went ahead and put out an album with my idea and I had to re-record my album.”
“He came to me and I accepted for us to collaborate. Of course, it’s an artist that I love. And I told him where I’m headed with the sound. Five months later, he put out an album with exactly all the same sound that I shared with him.”
“I had to go back and remake my album which is actually going to be the greatest album of all time in Afrobeats history.”
Nigerians couldn’t hold their nerves and poured out massive curiosity while trying to identify who he is referring to. some believe he was referring to Rema while some alleged that he was referring to Victony. This even spiced the situation.
