Nigerian singer Brymo has taken to his social media handle to condemn the virtue of bride price.
Taking to his social media handle, Brymo believes than anything a man pays gaurantees full ownership but in the likes of paying for bride price, it’s otherwise as the lady will still not be fully own by her man.
He condemned the motive of bride price and further outlined that if he should pay for bride price, he should fully own his bride.
His words:
“I saw in a movie scene the other day where a man told a female love interest that ‘a woman that can be bought is not worth having’… and it all made sense to me without a doubt left in my mind, and that the practice of paying bride-price depicts the transfer of ownership of the bride.”
“And I may participate nought of that, and especially because the other who was paid for may ever still choose to be as they want to afterwards… and posing ownership problems for the procurer…and a man expresses full ownership on things he pays for…yet a woman ain’t a thing to own or one to dictate for.”
Nigerians couldn’t hold their nerves and reacted massively via all the social media platforms.
Brymo is known popularly for his cruel approach to words on his social media platforms and sometimes, his colleagues, which has often attracted controversy to him.
The recent one foresaw the African Gaint Burna Boy labelling him as failed singer while portraying a freestyle with his band. His response even spiced the nature of the saga, leading to his current filth with him. He displays even another version of cruelty going forth with his belief and ego that has attracted critics to his profile.
Away from his cruel temperament, Brymo has attained several qualities to obtain the legendary spot in the Nigerian music having embodied unmatched consistency for close to a decade.
