Catholic missionary priest serving in Gambia, who is famously known as Fr Kelvin Ugwu cautioned Christians over the miracle testimonies shared at various churches.
This came days after controversial videos of Congregants of The Lord’s chosen church shared their breath taking testimonies that sparked reactions among fans.
One of the viral videos foresees an older woman who claimed to have miraculously captivated armed men who attacked her and took them to his cleric.
Other testimonies bid a man who claimed to have resisted a gun and machete attack, which didn’t penetrate him even after being shot several times.
Concerned Nigerians remained doubtful as they reacted massively according to their feelings.
Among them is Fr Kelvin who urged christain to digest such testimony as fake and lies until it’s confirmed or proven.
He took to his Facebook handle and wrote:
“Don’t be carried away by the miracle testimonies you hear in churches or ministries; as long as they have not been independently verified, treat them as fake and lies”
Nigerians stormed their social media platforms and reacted massively according to their understanding.
This adds to the ongoing ‘I’m a Choosen’ trend that have engulfed the Nigerian internet space since the viral videos surpassed online.
