Tonight, the two United States Vice Presidential candidates are scheduled to lock hones on stage as they have a debate that could possibly mark the end of their onstage campaign before the November election.
Minnesota’s Democratic Governor, Tim Walz, will face Ohio Republican Senator JD Vance on Tuesday night at the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate in New York City. The debate is a sequel to the Harris—Trump debate, which took place about three weeks ago.
The US Vice presidential debate is scheduled for Tuesday, 1 October, at 21:00 EDT (02:00 BST) at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City and will last 90 minutes. The debate will be aired on CBS network TV, and there will not be a live audience.
According to earlier reports, the CBS Evening News anchors Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan will moderate the forum.
Tim Walz is currently Minnesota’s Democratic Governor and running mate of Vice President Kamala Harris, while Ohio Republican Senator JD Vance is the running mate of former United States President Donald Trump.
Over the months, the two vice presidential candidates have hammered themselves and will meet face-to-face today to crown it up formally, guided by rules and regulations. CBS has disclosed that they have the ample right to mute a candidate’s microphones if the rules governing the debate are breached; however, they will remain unbiased. They will also fact-check each candidate’s statements to ensure authenticity and accuracy in their assertions.
The debate candidates will not be allowed to bring any writing notes or gadgets to the stage and will not be allowed to have conversations with their campaign aids during breaks.
