Mel Gibson has declared his support for Donald Trump as he made disparaging comments regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’ intelligence, calling the Democratic candidate “the IQ of a fence post.”
The Oscar-winning actor and filmmaker made the remarks that are currently making the rounds on a variety of websites during a brief interview with reporters in an airport.
Gibson, while responding to questions about who he would be voting in the forthcoming presidential elections scheduled for November 5 said, “I don’t think it’s going to surprise anyone who I vote for.”
“My guess is going to be Trump. Is that an incorrect guess? The 68-year-old was asked at an airport by a videographer who enquired.
Responding, Gibson said, “I think that’s a pretty good guess.”
He added, “I know what it’ll be like if we let her in,” in response to a question about what he believes a second Trump administration will entail. That’s not good, either.
“Harris has a miserable track record,” the actor said, among other reasons.
“There are no policies to mention. Her IQ is as low as a fence post,” the Hollywood star explained.
Gibson is still a contentious figure in Hollywood, having spent years in the spotlight following his notorious DUI arrest in which he uttered an antisemitic tirade.
On a leaked tape, the actor was reportedly heard using the N-word against Oksana Grigorieva, his ex-girlfriend, who also claimed that Gibson was physically violent.
His “Hacksaw Ridge” director has recently received accolades from former colleague Andrew Garfield for having “done a lot of beautiful healing with himself.”
Garfield, who is Jewish, stated that since “none of us are infallible,” everyone, even Gibson, should be given another chance, according to sources.
