The Republican Vice Presidential Candidate, Sen. JD Vance, on Monday, disclosed that he had noted head the racist joke that was made by a comedian at his running mate’s New York City rally the previous night but stated that Americans should stop getting offended by the joke that has been made.
He noted that he was over it after a journalist asked him about the inflammatory remarks about Latinos and others by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe; the comedian was the first speaker at former President Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
He disclosed that he had heard about the joke, but he had not seen the joke that had been spoken about all over the place. He noted that it was important to take seriously the closing remarks of Kamala Harris, which claimed that all of Donald Trump’s voters are Nazis; he noted that people should rather get worried about the comments rather than make issues from a comedy made by a comedian.
Vance folded down when asked again about the racist comedy set following his speech Monday night in the southeastern Wisconsin town of Racine. He explained that when a comedian told a joke, it was not important to make news out of it for any reason.
He noted that when a joke is told, and it’s not funny, it is important just to keep quiet and stop every form of disagreement. According to him, when such jokes are told, and it is not funny, it is important not to laugh.
Vance added that he was not worried about the comments made by the comedian noting that he had no affiliation with he campaign of Donald Trump and it would not in any way have an effect in the changes that the president has got to win the elections in November.
While speaking on Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris noted that the only issue that was central to the attention of Trump’s rally was dividing the country and speaking on personal grievances. Harris did not make such comments as Vance claimed.
One of the jokes which has drawn a high level of attention was the comment where he stated that there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.
In the battleground state of Pennsylvania, it has been believed that there was a large Puerto Rican presence, with the campaign team of Donald Trump trying to stay away from the comments made by the comedian during the event. Senior adviser Danielle Alvarez, while addressing the concerns from the joke, noted that the views were not that of Donald Trump nor his campaign team. However, the vice presidential candidate has noted that the joke was only being used to distract the attention of the supporters.
Vance stated that he had not seen the joke, explaining that it might be stupid or racist, as noted by the press and other reports, but he noted he was going to comment on some specifics of the jokes.
He noted that he thinks that a lot of Americans are sick of the distractions and sick of the BS. They want our candidates to talk about how they’re going to solve the peoples’ problems, and that’s what we ought to do,” he said.
Vance also noted that he had recently spoken to someone who was offended by a joke that was offered by George Lopez at a rally that was organised by Kamala Harris, according to he had told the person to take a joke sometimes and also calm down.
He explained that the if the citizens of American wants to restore the greatness of American civilization it will be difficult if the people always get offended with every little thing that is been said, he charged the people to have some sense of humour and have a little fun in their lives as the elections will soon be won.
Top Trump ally Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., took a different tack Monday, tweeting that Puerto Rico isn’t garbage; it’s home to fellow American citizens who have made tremendous contributions to our country.
He noted that he was aware of the why the people were offended by the comments that were made by comedian at the rally but explind that that there were not the comments of the Donald Trump.
The comments made by Hinchcliffe, which included other racist jokes about Latinos and Black Americans, were made days after Trump stated that the US had been turned into a garbage can while speaking on the state of immigration in the country.
Marc Anthony, a Grammy-winning singer of Puerto Rican descent who’s backing Harris, took to social media Monday to criticize Trump’s treatment of the island when he was president.
It was explained that he remembered what he did and said about Puerto Rico and its people. He noted that he remembered after Hurricane Maria devastated the island.
It was stated that Trump blocked billions in relief while thousands died. Anthony also noted that he remembers that when his family lacked clean water and electricity, Trump threw paper towels and called Puerto Rico ‘dirty’ and ‘poor.
