Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, a key Democratic surrogate and potential future presidential candidate, has noted he was already making a push to help states attempting to advance abortion rights get through in what has been believed to be the last push before the November 5th elections.

It was learnt that the non-profit organization he owns had invested millions of dollars in abortion-rights initiatives in four states in the past years. According to reports, they had recently expanded into four more states in the US, Maryland, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Missouri, which have questions on the ballot. It was noted that in each case, the state has a ballot question about abortion rights.

Reports have shown that the group had donated seven figures separately in Arizona, Florida and Nevada. The states have been learnt to be some of the key areas where abortion rights have tried to be codified. It noted that in the other states, which included Montana, the investment was made in six figures, and it was noted that Think Big will not provide further details regarding the amount that Think Big has donated; in the recent revelation, it was disclosed in South Dakota the organization gave out $500,000.

Pritzker is on the road in battleground states campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as advocating to codify abortion rights in Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin and other states. Think Big has provided financial investment to the abortion-rights referendum efforts, as well as communications, political and research support.

Across the country, Democrats have looked at the achievements and initiatives made which will help drive the turnout of voters. Also, the deep-red Missouri constitutional amendment would disassemble the current state law, which all but bans abortion.

It was explained by Mike Ollen, a senior political adviser to Pritzker, that they have been on the executive committee of most of the issues from the first day till the current moment. It was further explained that they have taken with relevant people all the time in areas like Missouri and Nebraska, where the election results have been believed to be very tight, but expressed optimism that there was a chance to codify abortion rights into state constitutions. He noted they will be coming in as sort of a closer to help out with whatever they need.

Pritzker, a co-chair of Harris’ campaign, was among a short list of politicians who wanted to be her running mate. The job eventually went to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

If Harris is unsuccessful in her White House bid next week, it would open the floodgates for potential 2028 Democratic contenders. Pritzker, a billionaire with an existing political organization who was elected twice as governor of Illinois and has travelled the country advocating for abortion rights and Democratic candidates, would be well-positioned to launch a presidential bid quickly. In August, he also raised his national profile when Chicago hosted a Democratic National Convention roundly praised as successful.

Ollen noted that it was flattering, to some extent, when he was on the VP shortlist. His actions as governor indicate that people think he was good at the job, is pursuing policies the American people want, and is well-qualified to serve at a higher level.

He noted that they fully expect the vice president to win the election. He further stated that they think they have a lot of leadership in Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, and they were fully ready to get back on the trail and stuff for their re-election in 2028.
