In a new record launch of the attack, Ukraine has launched one of the most significant drone attacks on the capital city of Russia, Moscow, since the conflict between the two countries began in 2022. The attack was said to have injured one person in three of its airports and was forced to divert its flights; as the Ukrierine attack was ongoing, it was also confirmed that Russia launched one of its most extensive attacks on Ukraine with over 145 drones.
Speaking on the attack, Andrei Vorobyov, the Moscow regional governor, referred to the attack as a massive one. The governor confirmed that two houses in the village of Stanovoye, 15 miles southeast of the city, had caught fire after the drones fell. The governor also confirmed that a 52-year-old woman was taken into intensive care after the attack injured her on her face, neck and hands.
The Ministry of Defense in Russia confirmed that the officer had intercepted a total of 34 drones that were sent to attack Moscow, the capital of the country. Some of the airports that stopped operation, such as Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport, which is one of the most used in the country, have resumed operation since the attack was contained by the military.
United Kingdom’s defence chief, Adm. Tony Radakin, stated that since the launch of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the recent attack had made the country record its largest number of casualties since 2022. It is not the first time such an attack has been carried out by the country on Russia’s capital, Moscow, but the recent one has become the largest since the beginning of the conflict.
Radakin, while speaking to the BBC on Sunday in an interview, confirmed that Russia’s forces suffered an average of about 1,500 dead and injured every single day in October, bringing its total losses to 700,000.
Explaining the cause of the attack, he went on to state that Russia was having to bear enormous pain and suffering because of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ambition, and that loss came at the expense of tiny increments of land. He also added that Russia was putting so much pressure on Ukraine and making so many gains, which has also put Ukarin on its toll since the conflict began.
Speaking on Sunday, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, confirmed that across the border, the Russian forces had launched a total of 145 Shaheds and other strike drones against Ukraine, which has become a recorded attack. He stated the attack was one of the greatest the country had taken since the conflict began.
The president of Ukraine also confirmed that the Russian troops had used more than 800 guided aerial bombs, around 600 strike drones, and nearly 20 missiles in the past week against the country. The officials also confirmed that the attack had led two people to sustain various degrees of injuries. At the same time, buildings were destroyed as the attack was launched overnight in the southern region of Odesa.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region, in a statement, confirmed that the enemy had launched another massive attack on the country through its social media account. The statement confirmed that the attack had led to the destruction of garages, cars, and other properties, while fires were on residential buildings, and several shops were damaged.
Russia’s state-run news agency, RIA, on Sunday, disclosed that the forces had taken control of Vovchenka village in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region.
The election of Donald Trump as president has been predicted to be a major breakthrough for the offensive that is ongoing between the countries. Before the elections, President-elect Donald Trump indicated that he would be able to resolve the conflict between the two countries. He went on to blame the Ukraine president for the conflict while he praised Putin.
Speaking further, Trump noted that he feels so sorry for the people, which is the major reason he will intervene in the crisis. He blamed the president of Ukraine, who should not have let the war start in the first place, stating that he was the loser of the crisis. Before the elections, the president-elect declined to speak on whether he would send some aid to the countries that needed some assistance in their security infrastructure.
It has been disclosed that the U.S. has approved $175 billion in aid to Ukraine, more than any other country. If Trump shrinks American support, Ukraine’s defence against the Kremlin could suffer massive damage.
After the elections of the United States last week, the Russian president sent warm congratulations to US President-elect Donald Trump in his message, and he communicated his intention to end the crisis with Ukraine.
Also, Zelenskyy, in his public message, congratulated Trump on his election and expressed optimism that he is looking forward to an era where the country will continue to move forward on its developments with the leadership of the president. Earlier in an interview in September, the Ukrainian president noted that Trump was not the best person to look up to in stopping the war that was affecting the nations despite his thinking that he may know the ways to stop the fighting.
After the attack on Sunday, the Russian regional governors of Odasa on Sunday disclosed that the attack had taken over some nonresidential buildings in the area with fire blazing out; the overnight attack of Ukraine also affected Russia’s Kaluga and Bryansk regions between Moscow and Ukraine’s northern border.
Russian Defence Ministry said it had destroyed 14 drones over Bryansk and seven over the Kaluga region overnight, including a further seven over Oryol and six over Kursk; the attacks were meant to affect the border region, which was taken over by the Ukraine.
Alexander Bogomaz, governor of the Russian border region of Bryansk, declared that Emergency services and firefighters were deployed to the regions to ensure the safety of residents. The full details of the attack were not provided.
