Social media star Jake Paul defeated legendary boxer Mike Tyson through a unanimous decision late Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the victory has been seen as one of the most unbelievable matchups in the sport’s history.
In a decision made by the judges, the three of them ruled the fight in favour of Paul with the score of 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73.
The win enhances Paul’s proficient record to 11-1 while decreasing Tyson to 50-7.
Speaking after the fight, Paul stated that he was exactly what he had thought, he noted that he had been one of the greatest ever to carry out the fight.
When asked if he was done with the fighting, Tyson stated that he was not sure, he stated that he was not sure while speaking through a broadcast
Paul who is 27 years and social media star has more than 27 million Instagram followers and nearly 21 million YouTube subscribers, was able to put in a good fight to ensure victory.
After a first round that saw Tyson aggressive, his age caught up to him. Tyson seemed slow for most of the fight and barely landed any effective punches. His offensive output dropped considerably from the mid-rounds on. The much younger Paul peppered his opponent with jabs and hooks throughout the bout while taking little damage.
While speaking about the next fight Paul was asked who he wanted next he stated that it could be anyone, he explained that anyone was next on the list.
Paul started his professional career with a debut in 2020, during the time he has had successes that included former UFC stars Ben Askren, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz and Mike Perry. In the co-main occasion, Katie Taylor conquered Amanda Serrano via unanimous conclusion 95-94 on all three judges’ cards. The spell, a rematch from their epic first encounter, was another instant masterpiece that saw 324 landed punches.
