According to Asemakaha Raymond, managing director of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC), Benue Breweries will make a comeback in the market with a new offering in the next 20 days. The proposed beer will be available for public testing at five different locations throughout the state.
The company has started building a brewery at Akile Village along the Makurdi-Gboko Road, according to the managing director, who visited the brewery with the management to assess the status of work.
Jerry Iosun, Department Head of Real Estate and Infrastructure, and Philip Zegejir, Project Program Manager, gave him a tour of the site and gave him updates on the status of the construction.
Asemakaha lauded the work of the project crew during the inspection and stated his desire to see the project completed on schedule.
“This brewery, which is expected to be completed soon, will provide direct jobs for hundreds of youths; have a backward integration for thousands of Benue farmers; and contribute to the growth of the economy in line with Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s vision,” he said, encouraging Benue people to farm sorghum and cassava.
The brewery’s construction represents a critical turning point in Benue State’s history and is anticipated to improve the quality of life for its citizens.
