After being listed among the sidekicks of the current Senate President of Nigeria, Godswill Akpabio, popular Nigerian actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has denied the allegations of any affairs with the number three citizen of the country.
In a post published on her Instagram page on Monday night to prove her innocence and debunk the allegation, the actress stated that she has never met or spent any intimate time with the current senate president, for any individual to insinuate her being among the side-chicks of the Akwa Ibom former governor.
“I saw text messages and calls this morning, alerting me to a very wicked lie from the pit of hell. I must say that I’m very disappointed, shocked and appalled. And I want to categorically state that I have never ever met the Senate president in my life”
Dakore mentioned that she is currently happily married with the marriage blessed with two kids and stated “I have not had any cause to be in the same room with him, not to talk of being his side chick. I’m happily married with two beautiful children. So for a jobless, wicked blogger to decide to put my name amongst women who have been with this man is totally wicked and unfounded”
She further mentioned that the current allegation has been made to tarnish her reputation in the entertainment industry, stressing that she won’t accept such deformation from any individual. She has further threatened to take legal action against the publisher of the list that had mentioned her name.
“It is a lie and I am ready for any legal action because, at this point, you have messed with the wrong person. I keep to myself, mind my business, I drink water and I do my work. So for someone to want to tarnish my hard-earned name and image for some clicks, no way”.
In the post, the actress went further to urge all individuals to provide pictorial or video evidence of her with the senate president while emphasising anyone with such evidence would get a five million naira reward. “I’m not going to accept it or going to be quiet about it. I want to put it out there. Anyone who can provide video or audio evidence that I have been with this man, I would give you N5 million right now,”
In the list published on Sunday online, the actress among other notable individuals such as Ini Edo, a famous actress in the Nollywood Screens, Hilda Bacci, one-time Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon, Nancy Isime, a Nollywood star and media personality.
It has been alleged that the side chicks have been placed on payroll by the Senate president, while he continues to service their “lavished lifestyle” in and outside Nigeria.
So far, other individuals mentioned in the allegation have kept mute, only actress Dakore has come out to prove her innocence. After the list was published, Ini Edo took to her social media pages to post pictures insinuating she was currently out of the country.
