Billie Eilish is hinting at a footwear partnership with Converse that will be revealed shortly. In reference to her most recent album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” the superstar posted a picture of herself clutching a shoe with the words “And Soft” on the bottom on social media on October 15.
With the side-eye emoji, Eilish shared the image on her Instagram story, indicating that fans could expect a new release soon. She seemed to be clutching a pair of Converse trainers with the brand’s iconic outsole, which had a geometric design and characteristic midsole with a thin black line.
The outsole included the words “And Soft” in big block letters, implying that the collaboration would honour her third studio album, which came out in May 2024 and included songs like “Wildflower” and “Birds of a Feather.”
Converse then announced on Wednesday that the Chuck Taylor All-Star ($100) and Chuck Taylor All-Star Lift Platform ($110) versions designed by Eilish would be available on the customisable Converse “By You” platform beginning on October 17 at 10 a.m. ET.
Fans can alter Eilish’s Converse designs to their preference by utilising the words, colours, and visuals of the song “Hit Me Hard and Soft.”
When the singer attended the climate action event Overheated last year, she wore a pair of black Chuck Taylor All-Star high-top trainers, demonstrating her previous affinity for the brand. She accessorised the shoes with black crew socks from Nike, a company she frequently chose and collaborated with.
When she performed in honour of the upcoming Olympics in Los Angeles, Billie Eilish donned bulky Nike Air trainers and a highly uncommon pair of black Nikes with red plaid accents in the music video for ‘Birds of a Feather’.
Regarding her footwear endeavours, she has partnered with Nike to develop various shoes, such as reimaginings of the iconic Air Force 1 design and the Air Alpha Force.
