Nigerian legendary singer, Seun Kuti has once more poured another controversial utterances that has left fans in reactions.
Speaking about Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, Seun Kuti disclosed that they don’t respect him despite that he admire them alot.
Admitting to the fact that people only respect the wealthy one, before diving into his points, he detailed that the three Afrobeat Gaints don’t respect him because they are financially ahead of him.
Adding to his utterances, he detailed that even though they don’t respect him, he is sure, they admire him also while humping his praises on their influence to the growth of Nigerian music firm.
Prior to his reviews, he disclosed that in as much as he admire them, he doesn’t respect them as they are not revolutionary yet.
Finalising his claim, he backed their decisions not to be called Afrobeat artist, revealing that they are just trying to prove their verstality.
His words:
“Na who get money deserve respect.”
“Wizkid is my guy, he is one of the guys that I respect the most. Even Davido and Burna Boy but I can’t even say I respect them because respect is a big word. “
“I admire them because they’re good guys, it takes alot for me to respect someone.
“I don’t respect them because they’ve not become revolutionary yet but I admire them alot. I’m sure they don’t respect me too because I don’t have money more than them.”
“Na who get money na who deserve respect.” I’m they also have a lot of admiration for me, but I always like what they do on their post”
“Just somedays ago, Wizkid liked my song that I posted and that’s admiration. When these boys say these things, we misunderstand them but the prëssure were putting on them is too much”.
“We’ve made it seem like they can’t do anything else except afrobeats. What Wizkid and Burna Boy is saying is not downplaying afrobeats, they just want us to stóp dictating to them as artists because they can also do other genres.”
Nigerians couldn’t hold their nerves and reacted massively via all the social media platforms.
