Chike has again blessed the listening fallacy of Afrobeat enthusiasts with a new song dubbed ‘Man Not God.’
Sensational singer Chike, in no doubt, proved his qualities on the song ‘Egwu’ spiced by deceased Mobad, and this has given rise to an even more advanced hit song titled ‘Man Not God.’
Embracing his root, Chike, this time via his ‘Acoustic’ reputation, dived deep into faith, human limitations, and the power of a higher force and dished out a masterclass.
The chilling music inspired by the legendary Igbo highlife Celestine Ukwu’s classic Ife Si Na Chi confides full meditation as Chike sampled Celestine’s verse more often.
The sound produced and mixed by Deeyasso and NewMix dishes out a modest and enhanced Acoustic sound enriched with guitar and other subjective sounds that drive listeners to meditate through their journey and Chike’s soulful vocals.
Speaking about the master class, Chike Opted that he is ready to challenge imposing thoughts riding against his beliefs as he further narrated his view and fate. According to him, he has come to realize that his journey as a human being has risen to the point where he has digested the power of God he identified as the ‘Higher Power.’ He added that sometimes men attempt to Play God to attain a certain level of finality, but it shuffles to the core. He admitted to his beliefs and announced that he is confident.
His words:
“OVER TIME, I’VE COME TO BELIEVE THAT MY JOURNEY, NOT JUST AS AN ARTIST BUT AS A HUMAN BEING, IS ULTIMATELY GUIDED BY A HIGHER POWER, MAN TRIES TO PLAY GOD, MAYBE TO ATTAIN A CERTAIN LEVEL OF FINALITY, BUT I HAVE COME TO SEE THAT THE WILL OF MAN IS INCONSEQUENTIAL AFTER EVENTS PLAY OUT, AND I SEE HOW FAR AWAY FROM MAN’S WILL THEY GO. I AM CONFIDENT IN MY BELIEFS AND THINK IT IS OKAY TO CHALLENGE IMPOSING THOUGHTS.”
‘Man Not God’ is already hitting numbers as Afrobeat enthusiasts can’t resist streaming to their satisfaction.
