Afrobeat Gaint and Grammy award-winning singer Wizkid has finally released his long anticipated hit song ‘Piece of My Heart’ featuring American R&B singer Brent Faiyaz.
Fans are struck with another unpredictable mark as they are bound with a new blend in the song that has graced the top spot at all significant music streaming platforms.
The duo premiered the slow hit silky advanced Jim jam song earlier on their Instagram handles, garnering expectations which didn’t turn to dust.
Wizkid has been vocal with his approach to the new wave, identifying the released song as a vital track to his sixth studio album ‘Morayo’, which will be released at his term.
‘Piece of Heart’ dug deep into Wizkid’s affectionate bond with women, expressing and describing how priceless they are with the delivered chorus: “Nothing can tear us apart/You’ve got a piece of my heart/Nothing can tear us apart.” The breezy track also sees Wizkid proclaim, “If I ever hurt you, I mean well, what I gotta do to make you know it’s all real?/If I could, I would keep you to myself.”
Wizkid and the US R&B sensation Brent Faiyaz linked up in Paris at Business of Fashion’s BoF500 Gala earlier. Wizkid would perform his hit songs featuring “Ojuelegba” and “Essence.” Rolling Stone named “Essence,” featuring Tems, glimpsing fans into what they would enjoy.
Morayo is a Yoruba name that translates to “I see joy”. Wizkid’s incoming sixth studio album is dedicated and deeply exempted as a tribute to his late mother. This is followed by his staggering catalogue featuring his 2023 S2 EP and his fifth album, More Love, Less Ego.
