Academy Award-winning American actress Anne Hathaway has confirmed her involvement in the prequel to the much-anticipated American TV series Princess Diaries 3, which is reportedly in the making.
Anne Hathaway, who began her journey with Princess Diaries at the age of 17, made the disclosure in an exciting Instagram post that has since thrilled her fans and those of the movie series. In the post, she declared that “Miracles happen” while expressing her excitement about, once again, taking up her iconic role as Princess Mia Thermopolis in the third instalment of the franchise, which reportedly began in 2001.
A sequel to the second instalment, “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement,” had followed the debut release and was eventually published in 2004. It gained more popularity and thrilled fans with an exciting movie show time.
Via a screenshot of a news publication on her post, Hathaway disclosed that The Princess Diaries 3 is currently underway. The post revealed that the developmental process of the series’ third installment began as far back as 2022 and is being directed by Adele Lim, known for her work on Crazy Rich Asians.
Speaking about the movie, Adele Lim reportedly expressed optimism over her new role as director for Princess Diary 3, noting that she has always been a die-hard fan of the series, which commits itself to propagating themes of female empowerment, joy, and mentorship for audiences around the world.
