Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has expressed her regrets about trying to make people see value in her.
According to her, she was insecure and wasted several years trying to let people see the good in her, but to date, she has realized that it doesn’t often work out.
She directed her utterances to the people who tend to find value from the people, announcing that it doesn’t often work out.
She concluded that she had learned her lesson and would never seek value from the people again.
Her words:
“Not just in marriage alone, In Friendships, Work relationships, or any kind of association, Begging for your value to be seen or appreciated will never work. May you never have to beg people or prove your value to anyone. If they don’t see it, let them go.
“I don’t need to convince you to see reasons to be in my life or work with me, If you don’t see it, that’s on you and it is not a question of it not being good enough too.
“I’m at a point in my life where I’ve wasted years trying to prove l’m a good person, Not anymore. I’ll happily set you free.”
