Mavin Record Label, Don Jazzy has revealed why he failed to sign the likes of Davido and Wizkid at the early peak of his career.
During his recent interview, he outlined that he really regretted not signing Simi when he got the opportunity and further described his fate in Falz who he almost signed too.

Speaking about why he also failed to sign the likes of Wizkid and Davido, he indicted it as a ‘coincidence’.
Referring to Wizkid, he outlined that he had the opportunity to sign the Afrobeat Giant but lost him to the EME Boss, Banky W who embraced his talent.
He added that he also had the opportunity to sign Davido but it crashed to the view of his prosperous status as he felt the singer wouldn’t need any record Label deal.
His words:
“I like Simi, I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. I like Teni, but I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. I had the opportunity of signing Davido but I didn’t because I kind of figured that he would be fine.”
“Wizkid, obviously, I couldn’t because Banky W got to him first. That would have been amazing. Falz, I love his work. We almost had a deal.”
