A raid by suspected hoodlums on a farm in Niger state has resulted in the death of one person while three others were kidnapped.
The dead individual, who is the manager of a farm located on the outskirts of the Sabon-Wuse community in Tafa Local Government Area, had tried to confront the hoodlums when he was overpowered and shot dead instantly by the invaders. The name of the dead individual has not been ascertained by the press.
Speaking on the incident, the Commander of the Security Vigilante in the Tafa community, Hussaini Abubakarca, confirmed the incident, explaining that the bandits who first kindannoped the victims made that their first assignment before shooting the farm manager dead.
He explained that the manager had joined a group of other persons who took the option of confronting the bandits to rescue the kidnapped victims, but he was unfortunately shot dead by the bandits.
The commandant further explained that the bandits had not taken any cattle away from the numerous farms located in the community.
The Niger State Police Public Relations Officer Wasiu Abiodun, who confirmed the incident to the press, noted that the hoodlums who stock the community successfully kidnapped two individuals. He explained that the police have started tracking the criminals in a bid to fight for the release of the abducted persons.
The PPRO, who provided specific details to the attack, noted that the attack took place on 11/8/2024 at about 01 near the Angwan-Aso, near Sabon-Wuse; he noted that the attacker’s head faced a residence during the raid.
On receiving the news, the PPRO stated that policemen attached to the Sabon-Wuse Police Division, led by the DPO, responded by deploying to the area. Still, the criminals had escaped before the arrival of the police.
He confirmed the death of the security guard who was attached to a poultry farm in the community. He noted the security had sustained a series of injuries from the attack he was taken to the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Hospital in the town, where he was confirmed dead by the medical personal at the hospital.
