The Kano State Police has announced the arrest of 41 suspected criminals in the state after a series of raids in different locations in the state.
The arrest was confirmed by the Kano State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa. He noted that the arrests had been made after the command received directives from the Inspector General of Police. According to him, the arrests are aimed at ensuring round-the-clock visibility patrols; it was further noted that the arrest has been a significant step towards curbing crime in the state.
The PPRO noted that the arrest was made after an officer in the state burst the criminals’ hideouts in different locations. During the arrest resulted in the arrest of 42 suspected criminals; the PPRO disclosed that several dangerous weapons were recovered from the criminals. He also explained that a series of investigations were still ongoing by the police in regard to the arrest.
He further appreciated the public for the steps taken, which have drastically reduced the state’s crime rate. He noted that the police has sustained its intelligence in the state which has been led by the Commissioner of police in the state, CP Dogo.
SP Abdullahi Kiyawa also noted that the police command in the state will always stay up to ensure that every form of crime in the state was reduced to its bearest minimum with decisive steps.
The public has been advised to report any form of crime to the police as such steps will reduce the rate of crime and increase coordinated response from the police. The residents were further advised to report all cases to the dedicated line of the police for quick responses.
