A passenger plane carrying 62 people on Friday crashed on the outskirts of São Paulo, Brazil, killing all the individuals aboard.
According to a statement by Voepass Airline, the plane was carrying 58 passengers and four crew members when it crashed on Friday.
A video which surfaced on the social media page before the actual crash of the plane showed the aircraft losing its balance and falling to the ground, where the destruction happened
Brazil’s civil defence confirmed the unfortunate incident, explaining that it took place in an area with multiple houses.
The statement further mentioned that only one house was destroyed when the incident took place on Friday.
The plane had taken off without any form of restriction, and all regulations were met according to authorities.
Reacting to the incident, President Luiz Lula da Silva noted that it was unfortunate and described it as very sad.
He further extended his solidarity with the families and friends of the victims of the unfortunate incident.
The Brazilian air force on Friday confirmed that a team of investigators had been sent to the scene of the incident to determine the cause of the crash and the level of damage.
Three days of mourning have been declared by the government to hour all who died in the incident. The president also pledged the government support for the families of the victims.
