The Plateau State Police Command has announced the recovery of a Toyota Hiace vehicle in Bauchi State after the vehicle was declared missing in the state,
The recovery was announced by the spokesman for the command, Alabo Alfred in a statement released on Thursday. He noted that suspect inconnection with the stolen vehicle had been arrested by the police. He noted that the vehicle was declared missing in the state on the 16th of September.
The statement explained that when the command received the information on the missing of the vehicle the operatives of the coammnd who are attached to the Bukuru Division immediately swung into action by executing stop and search operations within the area. After the efforts the PPRO doscosed that the was recovered from one one Kabiru Mohammed, male of Sabon Gari Narabi Toro LGA of Bauchi State on 18/09/2024 at about 12 midnight.
The PPRO disclosed the suspect has been taken into custody by the police, and he has provided some credible information that helped the police in conducting its investigations on the incidents. It was disclosed that the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.
The statement further noted that the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, has expressed his commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and properties within the state. He further noted that every act of theft or breakdown of law and order would not be tolerated in the state as the peace enjoyed in the state was fragile.
The statement further encouraged the citizens of the state to help the police with relevant information that will help the police and other security agencies deal with criminals in the state. They were charged to provide only useful information which which helped the operations of the police.
