Police confirms death of Abuja Crossdresser, order investigation

The police in the Federal Capital Territory have announced that it has begun an investigation into the murder of a yet-to-be-identified crossdresser who was discovered on the road where he/she was dumped.

Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT Josephine Adeh, in a statement on Thursday, explained that the command on Thursday a distress call was placed to the police command about an individual who was killed and dumped along Katampe Mabushi Expressway, the police according to her proactively dispatched a team to the scene of the incident.

She explained that upon arrival, the command discovered the dead body of an individual who was identified as a man but was wearing the clothes of a woman and no identification was found on the corpse upon arrival she said.

She explained that the police evacuated the body and took it to the Maitama District Hospital for examination, but the doctors on duty confirmed that the body was lifeless. it was discovered that the body was of a man who wore the clothes of a woman.

She explained that the police Commissioner of FCT, Benneth Igweh, has ordered men of the command to conduct a deep investigation into the circumstances that have led to the death of the deceased; she noted that more elaborate information will be provided to the press “in due course”.

According to an online investigation conducted, the murdered individual is an Abuja Crossdresser who is known as Abuja Area Mama’ and has been fluent in social media in the past years.

After his death on Wednesday, the old video of the crossdresser circulated on social media, where she explained some ordeals she had passed through in the hands of her clients.

The cross-dresser explained there were some clients he had met that got disappointed at the end of the day, which resulted in disagreement. She boldly stated that, as a man he prefers to sleep with fellow men.

Users on X have charged the police to be proactive in conducting the investigation that has led to the death of the still-unknown individual.
