Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter attended Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston on Friday.
As the two former members of Destiny’s Child attended the rally with the group’s song “Independent Women,” Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles introduced them.”
At the event, Rowland greeted the crowd, saying, “Welcome to this day, this remarkable, this joyous day.”
“A moment, Houston, where we reclaim the pen from those who are attempting to write a hateful and divided American narrative.”
“A time when we reclaim the pen from those who are attempting to write a racist and misogynistic narrative about America,” she stated.
“We are taking back the pen from those who are attempting to write an American narrative that would disregard women’s autonomy over their bodies.”
With the Democratic presidential nominees for 2024, Rowland urged “grabbing back the pen” to craft a new American narrative.
On October 25, 2024, Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland spoke at the demonstration in Houston. Rowland revealed that she supported Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Beyonce promoted the idea that voting is the most important tool and that it is a right.
She declared, “As a mother, I am here. “A mum who genuinely cares about the world my kids and all of our kids live in.
“We need your vote, which is one of the most important tools,” she stated adding that “Your freedom is a human and divinely granted right.”
As a tribute to her career, Beyonce instructed the audience to compose a brand-new American song.
She declared, “America needs to sing a new song. Unity is sung by our voices. They sing a tune of opportunity and dignity. As the campaign comes to a close, Beyonce’s “I’m here as a mother” rally supports Kamala Harris.
