The recent announcement has again shown the level of closeness realised between Trump and Musk in the past years. For some individuals, the rotation of Trump has made the presence of Trump feel oppressive.
A source close to them has revealed that Musk’s presence at Mar-a-Lago since the conclusion of the election has been seen as an overstay, with some in Trump’s inner circle disagreeing with his presence. Some of Trump’s inner circle have claimed that they were in Trump’s life for longer years before the Tech Billionaire. They have claimed that Musk has overstepped his boundaries.
One of the people who spoke about the attitude of Trump mentioned that he has started to behave like he is the co-president of who was elected. The source also stated that he has been speaking and taking credit for the president’s victory while he continues to speak about America PAC and X to people who have wanted to listen to him. The source also claimed that Trump started to depict that the president was indebted to him after the election, but the president was not indebted to anyone.
With the comments, a request to have Trump speak was made, but it failed when he was contacted on Tuesday.

The two sources who spoke revealed that since arriving on Tuesday, Musk has been there for every hour, sitting with the president-elect and joining meetings and calls.
Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been involved in diplomatic discussions even before his role in the administration was announced. He briefly joined a phone call last week between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
One of Trump’s advisers disclosed that Elon Musk would join Trump on Wednesday while he speaks with Republican lawmakers ahead of leadership elections. Another source close to them has disclosed that Trump has been seen as someone who has an opinion on and about everything that has been said. The source also alleged that Trump has been sharing his opinion so forcefully that he’s begun pestering Trump insiders.
The source noted that Trump wants to be seen as having a say in everything.
The individual said that some Trump advisers were concerned that Musk didn’t understand one key to being effective in Trump’s world: keeping a low profile. Musk’s engagement has been overly aggressive and may hurt his standing in the long run, the source said.
The second source also said that Musk seemed to be pushing his agenda instead of focusing on Trump’s. They said that while Musk is an intelligent and capable person, the change is about ensuring those loyal to Trump will be the ones carrying out government approaches.
The source noted that appointing people because they are loyal to Elon doesn’t work.
Musk has been among Trump’s most enthusiastic supporters. His super PAC spent over $152 million to elect Trump and other Republican candidates, with much of the money coming from Musk himself. He held demonstrations for Trump in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, contributed $1 million in daily giveaways for registered voters and hung his social media app X into a megaphone for Trump.
In one of the posts made by Trump on Xa in the past week, he suggested a few ideas for the new government, which included the deportation of immigrants and cutting government spending.
Musk posted Monday night stating that it was a very productive day of work by the transition team; the post was made in response to Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick, one of the two advisers leading the transition.

Musk’s private jet disembarked in West Palm Beach, near Mar-a-Lago, last Tuesday and stayed there for about 24 hours, according to the @ElonJet account on Bluesky, which uses publicly available flight data. The plane took off from West Palm Beach last Wednesday and headed to Austin, Texas, where Musk has a home, but it landed again in West Palm Beach on Friday and has been there for four days since, according to the account. It’s not clear whether Musk was on the jet for every flight.
