The famous television show “American Pickers” star Frank Fritz reportedly died at 60. family confirmed his demise on Tuesday; however, the actual cause of his death has not been made public.
Reports suggest that the former American Pickers star Frank Fritz died in his Iowa home after battling gradually deteriorating health for over two years. His long-time acquaintance Mike Wolfe confirmed the news via an Instagram post on Tuesday, “It’s with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night”, he wrote.
Frank Fritz is famous for his role on “American Pickers,” which has been on air since 2010. His colleague and friend Wolfe co-anchored the show with him until 2020, when Frank left, which later caused a rift between the duo. Wolfe made several efforts to bring Frank back to the show, which didn’t materialise before Frank became ill with Stroke. He eventually began attending constant rehabilitation and frequently visited the hospitals, while Wolfe remained very close and supportive of Frank Fritz until his death.
Wolfe shared a touching tribute via his Instagram post on Tuesday. He wrote, “I’ve known Frank for more than half my life, and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny. The same off-camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself,”
Other fellow pickers and well-wishers have also expressed their condolences to the bereaved family. Danielle Colby honoured Fritz via her Instagram post, recounting the good memory shared with the late colleague. “Frank, I will miss your ability to make everyone laugh, your love for talking tattoos, your epic collections, but what I will miss the most are those little glimpses of vulnerability from time to time,” she wrote.
