It has been confirmed that Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement fired heavy rocket barrages at Israel on Sunday, the Israeli military disclosed that the attacks had destroyed houses and other properties while they were set on fire near Tel Aviv, and it was confirmed that an earlier airstrike from Isreal had killed at least 29 people in Beirut the day before.
It was also disclosed that Israel also struck Beirut’s Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs, where intensified bombardment over the last two weeks has coincided with signs of progress in U.S.-led cease-fire talks.
The police also confirmed that te attack had led to multiple impacts sites in the area of Petah Tikvah, on the eastern side of Tel Aviv, and that with several people sustaining minor injuries from the incident.
The Israeli military had also stated that the attack had led multiple hits on a neighborhood had left “houses in flames and ruins.” Television footage showed an apartment damaged by rocket fire.
The IDF disclosed that Hezbollah had fired 240 rockets at Israel, they nited that multiple of the rockets were interceted by the military the military has engaged sirens in several parts of the country. It was noted that at least four people had been injured by shrapnel.
Video obtained by Reuters showed a projectile exploding as it smashed into the roof of a building in the northern Israeli city of Nahariya.
The military in its warning on social media disclosed that it planned to target Hezbollah facilities in southern Beirut before strikes that demolished two apartment blocks, according to security sources in Lebanon. Afterwards, the IDF said it had hit command centres deliberately embedded between civilian buildings.
It was confirmed on Saturday that they have carried out one of the most deadliest and powerful attack on the the center of Beirut since the conflict had started.
From the figures released by the Lebanon Health Minstry on Sunday, it was confirmed that the death tool had risen from the initial 20 to 29. It was also confirmed that 84 people had been killed in all on Saturday, taking the death toll to 3,754 since October 2023.
The IDF failed to speak on the incident which occurred on Saturday in the capital or say what it had attacked.
The attack by Israel now dates back to September when the when the IDF went on the offensive against the Iran-backed Hezbollah , pounding the south, the Bekaa Valley and Beirut’s southern suburbs with airstrikes after nearly a year of hostilities ignited by the Gaza war.
