Chelsea exiting the EFL Carabao cup after a furious defeat against Arsenal has continued to dig deep into their fan base as they continue to fum over the loss.
On Tuesday, 3rd February, Arsenal dominated and triumphed over Chelsea, eliminating them from their Carabao Cup run in a 4-2 aggregate display.
With the first leg deploying most of the goals, Arsenal came out dominant, scoring a tally of three goals forseeing just two goals from the host. Having the termed advantage, Arsenal returned for the second leg and defensively wrecked Chelsea’s dream for a comeback. They would bury the game in the injury time, draining Chelsea players alongside their fans.
However, amidst the chaos and pain, Chelsea fans pinpointed mostly Kai Havertz moment, which featured him scoring the winning goal at the injury time in the second leg. When the German forward scored the winning goal, despite his Chelsea reputation,he celebrated passionately and pointed at the Arsenal badge, resulting in a total grudge among the fans. Their tantrums were imposed on the fact that he was a former Chelsea player. Having shared memories with them, they believe he shouldn’t have disprected his Chelsea reputation in such manner.
Since the German player left Chelsea, he has recorded a tally of two goals in two meetings against them. His relationship with Chelsea crashed in 2023 after he left over his awful run of form.
