As the English Premier League (EPL) 2024–2025 season approaches, a number of clubs have made notable management changes.
Others are bringing in fresh talent in anticipation of significant changes on the field that will help them succeed in the upcoming season.
Here are five teams that will have a new manager in charge when the 2024–2025 season begins:
Liverpool: On January 26, 2024, Jurgen Klopp made it known that he would step down as manager of Liverpool following the end of the 2023–2024 campaign and take a hiatus from managing football teams. After nine years of leading Liverpool FC, this news was made. Following his departure, Liverpool looked for a new manager, and they were able to find one in Dutchman Arne Slot.
West Ham United: On May 6, the team confirmed that longtime manager David Moyes will be departing at the end of the current campaign.
In the 2022–2023 season, Moyes had guided them to their first-ever European championship, but the season that followed was lackluster. Since then, veteran Spanish head coach Julen Lopetegui has taken his position.
Chelsea: After their season finished on a high note and it appeared that the board was planning to expand on the previous campaign, Chelsea fans were not very pleased to learn that their football manager, Mauricio Pochettino, was departing the team.
Brighton & Hove Albion: The mid-table team chose 31-year-old German manager Fabian Hurzeler after Italian coach Roberto De zerbi left at the end of the season. Just after securing St. Pauli’s promotion to the Bundesliga, Fabian signed a deal with Brighton, becoming him the league’s youngest permanent head coach ever.
Leicester: On June 3, 2024, the recently promoted team named Steve Cooper as their head coach after Chelsea stole their manager.
