The Nigerian human right activist and award-winning author, Reno Omokri has urged the northern group not to place ₦100 million on Nnamdi Kanu.
Instead, he urged them to use the money and place a bounty on banditry and terrorism in the north.

In his words, he said:
“Why would a Northern group place a ₦100 million bounty on Nnamdi Kanu’s head? The North has bandits who abduct schoolchildren on an almost weekly basis. They also have Boko Haram. Use that money to place a bounty on the heads of leaders of bandits and Boko Haram”
