Famous South African singer, Malome Vector has reportedly died after being involved in a ghastly car crash in the Free State.
His manager, Kagiso reportedly confirmed the incident in a voice note shared with South African journalists and reported to be from him.
According to reports, the incident occurred while the superstar singer, alongside two other musicians who were involved in the car crash and who also lost their lives were on their way to Lesotho for a music video shoot.
Sources have said all victims of the fatal car crash were severely affected as three persons including Malome Vector died on the spot. Two others sustained severe injuries, newsmen also gathered.
A source was quoted as saying “three males died, a female sustained a moderate to serious injury and a male sustained a serious but salvageable injury. The bodies are at Kroonstad police station waiting for confirmation.”
Another source said: “I heard about it now, it’s heartbreaking, three people died.”
While tributes from fans and industry friends of the late stars have flooded the social media timeline with images of the scenes of the car crash being repeatedly shared online, the Free State department of health has also issued a statement confirming the ugly incident.
According to the Free State health spokesperson Mondli Mvambi, three people were killed in a fatal accident on the N1 in the Free State when a car transporting musicians collided with a heavier vehicle near the Koppies turn-off on Wednesday afternoon.
The statement added that the victim’s managers have been informed and that they have also visited the scene where the incident occurred as well as the hospital where the bodies and injured victims were taken in a bid to get full details of what happened and who was involved so that the next of kin can be decently informed.
