Nigerian Afrobeat gem, Rema has stirred massive reactions among fans after donating money to his boyhood church.
The sensational singer who had shut down Benin Stadium disclosed that he didn’t intend to take accolade but give thanks to God.
According to him, he is giving back to the church because they embraced him and helped him grow. He recalled that the church helped built her mother a shop where they fed from following his father’s demise.
He donated a whopping currency of 105 million to the church appreciating them for their assistance.
His words:
“I’m not here to give myself any form of accolage; I’m here to give God the glory. I feel like to give back to church because the church has embraced me, has prayed for me.”
Reactions sparked as fans stormed social media platforms to bid their views. Among these concerned civilians foresaw, Daddy Freeze who outlined his own view.
According to him, digesting that the church helped Rema’s family in their struggling era, the church deserves all the money he had donated via his choice. Speaking further, he finalised that Rema should even double his donation as its not close to what they have done for him.
