Nigerian Afrobeat singer Rema has once more attained another international dimension after his hit song ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez became the first African song to gain 1 billion on-demand streams in the United States.

He attained this a few hours ago and has left fans in jubilation as they deploy enough congratulatory messages to him.

Top charts, without hesitation, announced the new peak via all social media platforms, proving his musical qualities.

Rema, since collaborating with the American music mogul Selena Gomez on his hit song ‘Calm Down’ has gone on to attain several feats that have left the top spot for him.

In 2023, Rema became the first African singer to attain 1 billion streams with one song on Spotify, adding to his already-furnished reputation.

His global recognition has surpassed a convincing rank to the extent that he has attained his place as an international music gem.
