Nigerian Afrobeat singer Shallipopi announced departing record labels Dapper Music and Dvpper Digital owned by famous music mogul Dapper, following enormous controversies linked to deals and financial fairs.
Uttering in confidence, Shallipopi called out his former record label Dapper music for stripping him off his artistic right.
Detailing his overview, Shallipopi revealed that Dapper Music failed to give a proper financial accounts of his royalties, income and expenditure despite his incredible effort.
He added that they stripped him off his artistic right, while listing varities of theft, including forceful deal he signed with Dvpper Digital which was against his will.
Concluding his call out, he advised upcoming stars to desist from signing for Dapper Music while vowing to serve as the voice against artistic discrimination.
Dapper Music has previously indulged in the same saga with another Afrobeat gem, Seyi Vibez, who recently renounced his bond with them and disappeared from the public to date. Even though Seyi Vibez didn’t publicise his emotion like Shallipopi, sources disclosed that Dapper Music allegedly stripped Seyi Vibez of his royalties, leaving him in the current state Shallipopi. However, Shallipopi was quite different amid how he voiced out.
Since releasing the official statement addressing the situation, Shallipopi has graced all the social media trending space, attributed to fans reactions.
Currently, Nigerians are dragging the record label owner, Dapper’s Fiance, Hilda Baci for comfortably eating Shallipopi and Seyi Vibez’s hard earned money alongside her lover.
