The incident occurred at about 4:00 pm yesterday, around the University of Lagos (UNILAG) waterfront spot axis. Eyewitness narrates that the Marine Police who were stationed around the area quickly switched to rescue operations to recover the body.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident on Friday, stating that medical personnel at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital pronounced her dead upon arrival.

“Today, March 13, 2025, at about 1600 hours, an unidentified woman reportedly jumped from the Third Mainland Bridge into the water near the UNILAG waterfront at approximately 1500 hours.
