UK-Nigerian former heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has pubicly uttered his feelings for the first time, ever since he was involved in an auto crash in Nigeria.
On December 29th, 2025, the two times heavyweight champion involved in a fatal car crash. Astonishingly, he survived it, sustaining just minor injuries. However, unfortunately, his two friends, including his trainer and close friend, would die due to the auto crash complication.
The loss took a big toll on him to the point that he considered quitting boxing. Perhaps he would regain his ground and rehabilitate over his loss.
Today, Anthony Joshua has taken to his social media platforms to make his first public utterances since the death of his two friends. According to his words, he is way thankful to all fans and well-wishers who reached out to him during this difficult time. While gratifying them, he also adored and acknowledged the deceased, revealing that he is so proud to have two friends, who are now on the other side of the world.
His words:
“Thank you for your love, your attention, and your support during this tragic and traumatic time.”
“We have lost two incredible men. One day, my turn will come, and I’m not afraid at all. It’s comforting to know that I have two brothers on the other side.”
This came shortly after the two deceased were laid to rest in their respective countries alongside their families.
Concerned civilians have continued to deploy massive condolences to the family of the deceased.
Anthony Joshua held major heavyweights like (WBA, IBF, and WBO) for two different reign, defining his incredible power and registering his name in the book of history. While his boxing career looked overly attatched to challenges, Anthony Joshua was able to overcome his stance and emerged as one of the current world dangerous heavyweight boxers.
