Jayden Daniels stole the show at Monday night’s NFL games between the Commanders and the Cincinnati Bengals.
This was as the rookie set a new record and won the hearts of many, including his fellow teammates and football fans, after an impressive performance that kept the Commanders at an advantage throughout the game and an eventual win of 38-33 against the Bengals in Cincinnati.
Daniels, who made a remarkable debut in the NFL on Monday night, reportedly gained his first passing touchdown and ran one in on his way to completing 21 of 23 passes for 254 yards and a 91-percent completion rate.
Sources say this has been the best performance by a first-year quarterback, with at least 20 attempts in a single game thus far. Several professionals have also spread words of hope in the young player, praising him for an impressive performance.
“That kid has poise… I think he grew up tonight… That’s what great players are about, and I think he’s gonna be well on his way if he continues to work.” Terry McLaurin, an American professional football wide receiver for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL) lauded the rookie.
Similarly, Kirk Herbstreit, in a post via his verified X account wrote acknowledged being thrilled by Daniels’ performance at the NFL game despite being a Bengals fan.
Herbstreit wrote, “I’m a bengals fan but damn…how good is Jayden Daniels as a rookie?!?? Not just the physical ability..but the composure and understanding of the scheme! Playing with ridiculous poise on the big stage on MNF on the road. Absolutely the REAL DEAL. Gotta tip your cap man. Also, great job by Kliff Kingsbury for being in sync with his boys-Impressive!!”
Recall that Daniels had previously lost his debut to the Bucs in Tampa. However, Monday night’s performance which has moved Washington to 2-1 on the young season has reportedly redeemed him of what may have been considered an appalling first record.
