Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has ratified the withdrawal of 313 students over their poor academic performance in the first semester of the 2022/2023 academic session.
The institution considered approving the plea after several reports from the Academic Board Central Result Verification Committee from their concluded meeting held on 22nd June 2023 at the 200 Twin Lecture Theater, Main Campus, Lokoja.

On Friday, the head of the public relations and protocol unit outlined that the breakdown of the withdrawal is from seventeen (17) departments and twenty-eight (28) programmes.
The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman also disclosed that was one of the steps the institution has taken to maintain high-profile educational protocol.
He also gratified the school committees for tirelessly ensuring that the polytechnic maintains its standard of education.
The students withdrawn are ready to implore or embark on their other fields which may likely be a perfect match for their vocations.
