A few years after the tragic death of her son, Sylvester Oromoni Jr, the mother of the bully victim of Dowen College has succumbed to the call of nature.
Via prolonged illness related to distress, the family of the deceased confirmed her death, sparking concern among Nigerians.
In 2021, 12-year-old boy identified as Sylvester Oromoni Jr became a centre of publicised stories via all the major news platforms after falling a victim to bully at Dowen College in Lagos.
Following reports, he was bullied by his senior student in the boarding school where he was admitted a few years back. Following the view of an immersed bully, Slyvester passed. Before his death, he went through pain, confessing in his hospital bed that he was bullied by his senior students.
After his death, his autopsy aligned with his confession after its results disclosed that he was forced to drink an unidentified substance.
At first glance, the authority followed the case with an appropriate approach but failed to meet a justified outcome. To date, the suspects are free while the school is still open.
Having endured deep pain since 2021 to date, Mrs Oromoni succumbed to a prolonged ailment.
According to reports, despite receiving exorbitant medication, she still passed, leaving her family in distress. They are currently grieving and mourning the death of their two beloved family members.
