Nigerian afro-fusion singer Burna Boy returns to the music scene to address the Nigerian situation, he released a song called “20 10 20”.
Following the massacre of #EndSars protesters that happened in Lekki Lagos, Nigerian award-winning superstar, Burna Boy shares his pains/feelings on the recent killings of Nigerian Youths protesting peacefully at Lekki Toll-Gate to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He leads his voice on the 20th October, 2020 Lekki Massacre, talked about how the Nigerian Army killed patriotic Nigerian Youths performing their civil rights and also about the Governor’s attitudes and actions towards the event.
The song “20 10 20” was released by Burna Boy on the 29th of October, 2020. This was nine days after the Nigerian Armed Forces shot at peaceful protesters in Lekki, Lagos State. The date of the bloody event is used as the song title (i.e 20th of October, 2020).
In the song Burna Boy shows his displeasure and pain towards such act, he condemned it by directing his message to the Nigerian President, the Governor of Lagos State, a political godfather in Lagos State ?, the politicians, the Nigerian Armed Forces, and the Nigerian Government in general.
